The Wisconsin Statutes defines four degrees of sexual assault, each distinguished from each other by amount of force used and how harmful the act was to the victim. If you are convicted of first-degree sexual assault for example, it is a Class B felony, which could lead to up to 60 years in prison. Second and third-degree sexual assault are crimes classified as felonies as well. Fourth-degree sexual assault is a misdemeanor.
